Mark Shore began his career in Tech Theater during his high school days in Wichita, Kansas over 30 years ago. "My first paid gig was running a follow spot for a touring Fashion Show. I think I made $50.00", recalls Mark.
After receiving his BFA in Theater Technology from Emporia State University in 1980, Mark participated in the MFA program for Theater Technology at the University of Texas in Austin. During his time spent in Austin he joined the Stagehands Union IATSE Local 205.
"I had worked as a freelance stage technician for several years before becoming Assistant Stage Manager at the Frank Erwin Center, says Mark. "I gained an enormous amount of valuable experience as the Production Manager at the Paramount Theater", he continued.
Mark moved to New England back in 1988, where he had previously spent numerous summers working Summer Stock at The Hampton Playhouse, in Hampton New Hampshire. For the six years between 1988 to 1994, he worked as a Rental Manager and System Installer for Mike and Ann Carnaby at Mikan Theatricals. It was in 1994 that Mark joined the High Output team to assist in the development of outside sales, which eventually became the System Sales and Design Department, as it is known today. "During my time at High Output, I have had the good fortune to have worked with some of the most talented, creative, and dedicated individuals in the entertainment industry", Mark commented.
For many years Mark and his dedicated staff have worked extremely hard to establish High Output as a fixture in the New England System Integration scene. Mark goes on to say, "Collectively we enjoy a variety of day-to-day challenges and adventures. Each and every day we aspire to provide the very best customer service possible. I genuinely appreciate the trust John Cini and Jim Hirsch have placed in our System Sales Team. It is through their trust - and more importantly, our customers' trust has allowed us the opportunity to accomplish some truly amazing projects!"
