Additionally, there is a power tap on the side which accommodates either a 110-220V AC adaptor or a 7-24VCD battery connector with a current draw of about 30 watts at full intensity! There are connectors available for the most popular camera battery systems. Zylight also offers an optional pocket-sized battery able to power the light for up to three to four hours on a single charge.

Control of the Zylight Z90 is very straight-forward. The power button is on the upper left, and the dimmer/intensity know rotates from zero to one hundred percent brightness level.

The Z90 operates in one of three modes: white, gel and color. Switching modes is achieved by holding the top thumbwheel for about one second until the small lights indicate the selected mode.

White mode produces factory presets for daylight or tungsten white color temperatures which are selected by pushing the middle or lower left buttons. Gel mode outputs white light which is adjustable from 2500 to 9000K in 50 degree steps, with adjustable green color correction and a digital display shows the color temperature. Color mode provides hue and saturation adjustments by using the top button along with the bottom thumbwheels.

Plus ZyLink™ technology allows you to wirelessly link together multiple Zylights to create a soft LED source as large as you need. Zylights that are linked together act in concert as if they were one unified LED source, with adjustments made on one light changing all lights in the group. Now that's cool.

You can easily control the Z90's output by snapping on the Accessory Adapter, allowing you to easily mount any standard 3-inch lighting accessory you may already have, such as barndoors or a snoot.
