Load-in and set-up for this event had to be carefully planned with timings coordinated right down to the very minute. Initiating an early start on the day before the event was key to the ultimate success of this particular event. The unique design allowed the use of a combination of LED and conventional lighting fixtures.
The LED fixtures allowed our team greater flexibility by letting them offer the client a wider choice of looks without the use of lifts or ladders. Color Blazes with rotating colors and effects were used to light up the entryway, as well as, a nearby juggling performer. CK ColorBlasts were used to provide accent lighting on the truss structures forming the backdrop to the stage.
High Output is able to draw on the many specialties of our full time staff, each aspect of an event is overseen by a general project manager and departmental managers depending on their specialty. For this event PM Andrew Boucher, PM Mathew Furman and PM Jason Perry were on site to oversee installation of the Video, Audio and the LED deck respectively.
"When Firm Affairs presented us the theme of an Amusement Park, the LED immediately came to mind. Using lots of light bulbs or neon was not particularly cost effective nor, given time restraints, be realistic. Using the LED fixtures, we could evoke the same imagery while keeping within the time line. The flexibility of the LED allowed us to blend many different styles of lighting all the while maintaining a unified theme with minimal power consumption and providing maximum impact." - Jess Klarnet, Director of Production - High Output, Inc.
On the day of the event, vendors of all types cascaded into the event space to set-up tables, furniture, flowers, decor, activities, and food displays. Working in conjunction with all of the vendors the High Output team managed completion of the lighting, video, audio and LED dance floor installation, as well as, changes as they happened on the event site before guest arrivals.
